Honest ballpark

6 ft cedar privacy · ~150 ft

The Billings classic, full privacy, warm wood, posts three feet down in concrete so it's still straight when the kids graduate.

Worth knowing: cedar wants a stain every few years to stay golden, skip it and it silvers gracefully instead. Both are fine; pick your future.

What we build

Every line a yard can ask for

The Absolute Fence standard

Fences don't fail at the pickets. They fail at the posts.

Every leaning fence in Billings leans for the same reason: someone saved an hour on the holes. We don't.

Meet the crew
01

Three feet down, below frost

Posts set 36 inches deep, under the Missouri frost line, so freeze-thaw never gets a grip on them.

02

Concrete crowned to shed water

Every post collar slopes away from the wood, water runs off instead of pooling where rot starts.

03

String-line straight

Lines pulled tight, posts laser-checked, tops in one clean plane, the straightness you notice from the street.

04

Gates on reinforced posts

Gate posts get bigger holes, more concrete and adjustable hardware, because the gate is the fence you actually touch.

Homeowner guides

Know your fence line before the first post goes in.

Short, honest answers to the questions every homeowner asks, no jargon, no upsell.

Where exactly is my property line?

Not where the old fence stands, necessarily. Surveys, plot plans and recorded pins are the truth, neighborly memory is not.

Building a hand-width inside a verified line is cheap insurance, moving a finished fence is the expensive way to learn surveying.

Which material fits my life?

Wood is warm and repairable and asks for care, vinyl trades character for wash-and-done ease, aluminum draws classic lines and ignores rust, chain link simply works and admits it.

The right answer comes from your maintenance honesty, your weather and what the fence must actually do, privacy, pets, or presence.

Do I need permits or HOA sign-off?

Often for height, sometimes for style and setbacks, almost always in front yards. HOAs add their own taste rules on top.

Checking first costs a phone call, checking after can cost the fence, we help sort the paperwork before the first hole.

Where we build

KC's straight-line crew

On Grand. Look down any fence line we've built, that dead-straight top rail across a bumpy yard is the signature, and the neighbors always ask.

Questions, answered

What does a fence cost per foot in Billings?+
Material, height, slope and tear-out set the number. The configurator compares materials side by side. The configurator above shows your project; the flat quote after a free line-walk is exact.
Wood or vinyl, what should I actually pick?+
Cedar is warmer, cheaper upfront and repairable board by board, but wants staining every few years (or let it silver). Vinyl costs ~25% more once and then never asks for anything. Dogs, budget and how you feel about maintenance decide; we'll be straight either way.
Do I need my neighbor's permission?+
On your own property, generally no, but pins matter. We locate property pins before digging, keep the fence inside your line, and give you a heads-up letter you can drop next door. Ten minutes of courtesy prevents years of drama.
Who handles permits, HOA and utility lines?+
We do, 811 utility locates, permit filing where your city wants one, and HOA-friendly drawings of the style and height. It's included in the price and non-negotiable: nobody should dig blind.
How long does installation take?+
Most backyards: posts set day one, panels and gates day two or three (concrete needs its overnight). Chain-link often finishes in a day. Weather shifts things, you'll always know the evening before.
My fence leans, repair or replace?+
If the panels are sound and only posts failed: we reset posts properly and save you most of the cost. If rot runs through rails and pickets, we'll show you photos and say so. Roughly half our "replace" calls end as repairs.
What warranty do you offer?+
Two years on workmanship in writing, posts staying plumb, gates swinging true, hardware holding. Vinyl and aluminum carry manufacturer warranties up to lifetime on top.

Your yard already knows where the line is.

Free line-walk, honest per-foot pricing, posts three feet down, and a gate that still swings in 2036.
